Manny Pacquiao, one of the greatest fighters of his generation, regained the WBO welterweight crown on Saturday following a unanimous-decision victory over Timothy Bradley in Las Vegas.
The judges' scores were 116-112, 116-112, 118-110.
Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KOs) is one of the most pacific pugilists on the planet but even for him, tonight must have seemed like sweet revenge for the highly controversial loss that he suffered to Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) in 2012.
Though an unprecedented eight-division world champion, many boxing experts have been raising their brows and hinting that Pacquiao's fistic talents have eroded, that he has slowed down and lost the killer instinct. Maybe so. However, the 35-year-old legend certainly seemed to find the fountain of youth tonight.
