Last Saturday, the 24 year old super welterweight sensation Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (45-1-1, 32 KOs) scored a dramatic third round knockout over the hard swinging southpaw, James Kirkland (32-2, 28 KOs). For as long as it lasted, Alvarez vs Kirkland was a furious pier six brawl, in contrast to the Mayweather boxing clinic of May 2nd.
